Empowering Widows

The Unyime Nkanta Foundation Empowerment Program is designed to benefit widows, particularly those facing economic hardship and social vulnerability following the loss of their spouses. The program specifically targets: Widows with little or no source of income, helping them start small-scale businesses or strengthen existing ones. Single mothers and caregivers, who struggle to provide for their children and dependents. Widows in rural communities, who often lack access to financial opportunities, skills training, and social support. Younger widows, who are encouraged to rebuild their confidence and become self-reliant through entrepreneurship and vocational skills. By offering financial assistance, vocational training, and business support, the program empowers these women to become economically independent, emotionally strengthened, and active contributors to community development.
